Joe Berko began his career in commercial real estate finance and investment banking in 1995. By 2005, he founded Berko & Associates, a multidisciplinary advisory firm specializing in investment sales, structured finance, and syndication.
In 2009, he was appointed by Governor David Paterson as an advisor for New York State's Real Estate Board, a role he continued under Governor Andrew Cuomo for nine years. In 2015, Joe launched Astor Realty Capital, focusing exclusively on investor needs. He personally co-invests in every Astor offering.
A great believer in giving back, Joe serves on the board of several nonprofit organizations and regularly speaks at professional conferences. He is currently based in Miami, Florida.

Investors are placed into one of three categories based on their total cumulative capital committed across all Astor projects: Core ($250K to $1M), Select ($1M to $5M), and Premier ($5M+). Higher commitment tiers carry lower promote rates and higher projected net IRRs, ranging from 14.5% to 16.0%.
Yes. All Astor opportunities are available exclusively to accredited investors as defined under Regulation D. Generally that means $200K+ individual income (or $300K+ joint) over the past two years, OR net worth above $1M excluding primary residence, OR holding a Series 7, 65, or 82 license.
